Angry Birds Coming Soon to Your TV Set

April 5, 2012 by noemi

Angry Birds
Just when I thought the Angry Birds hype had disappeared, they released Angry Birds Space. Sure, I will admit that it has been downloaded onto the iPad, but I have never played it. It’s been sitting there prettily for more than a week now, but I know how that goes. I’ll start playing. I’ll get upset because I can’t get three stars, but I won’t be able to stop playing till I finish the game. By hook or by crook.

So yes, I am keeping the Angry Birds “disease” at bay. Then I hear about the new thing Rovio’s getting into: Angry Birds cartoons. On TV. [Read more…] about Angry Birds Coming Soon to Your TV Set

Smartphone Use an Indication of Wealth?

April 2, 2012 by noemi

Blackberry
I would never really have thought about it, but a Reuters article got me thinking. ((Source: Reuters)) A study was conducted by The Luxury Institute, with the goal of finding out how wealthy consumers used their smartphones. In other words, they studied the app usage among the members of this sector.

The conclusion? Wealthy people tend to use their smartphones more for apps geared towards finance, travel, and news. They do not seem to have a proclivity for social apps like Twitter or for gaming apps. [Read more…] about Smartphone Use an Indication of Wealth?

Hate Perfume? Go to Christopher Brosius!

Christopher Brosius
I Hate Pefume

We’ve all been in the situation where a fellow commuter has spilled perfume all over himself (or herself), making everyone else in the bus or train gag. There is something to be said about perfume and cologne. The best ones really do make a huge difference. However, what smells good is totally relative. What may smell sexy to you may come off as disgusting to another person. Then there are those people who simply abhor perfume.

Are you one of those who hate perfume as society defines it? You might then want to check out the work of Christopher Brosius. He is definitely one of those who detests conventional aromas used as perfume, and he has taken it as his personal quest to create scents that deviate from the usual. [Read more…] about Hate Perfume? Takeout & Delivery: LivingSocial Forays Into Food Service

Living Social Takeout & Delivery
Living Social Takeout & Delivery

I don’t know about you, but LivingSocial – and all those other deal sites – have become a part of my life. I have drastically cut my spending, though, as I realized that I would save more money by simply NOT buying anything at all. Deal or no deal.

While I am sure that I am not alone in thinking this way, these daily deal sites are still popular. And among these sites, LivingSocial is one of the most trusted brands. The group does not seem to be interested in merely sitting on its laurels, as can be surmised from their latest move: entering the food delivery market. NASA Perpetual Ocean
NASA's Perpetual Ocean

There is the old saying that the sea is the perfect cure for anything – from the mother of all hangovers to a broken heart! If you have tried going away and spending time at the beach during low times, then you will, in all probability, attest to that statement.

Then again, as I always say, perspective is everything. And with this Perpetual Ocean project, NASA has given us a different perspective on the oceans of the world. [Read more…] about NASA’s Perpetual Ocean Will Mesmerize You

Computerwear: Clothes for Your iPad or Laptop

Computerwear
13-inch Laptop Sleeve

How much do you love your laptop (or iPad)? Can you count the ways?

I don’t know about you, but while these gadgets are just that – gadgets – they do cost a considerable sum of money, and I think that it is worth investing in accessories that will keep them (relatively) safe from normal wear and tear. While we may have all intentions of making sure that our gadgets do not get scratched, bumped, or suffer from a hard fall, there is such a thing called “accident”.

That’s why iPad and laptop cases, covers, and sleeves are so popular. After investing so much on a device, spending a little more on protection is not only understandable but also expected.

Now what about going for clothes for your iPad or laptop? And I mean clothes, literally. [Read more…] about Computerwear: Clothes for Your iPad or Laptop
