Are you feeling particularly generous as Christmas draws ever closer? I know I am, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t get to indulge my own interests as well. When it comes to the point, I enjoy looking at Kickstarter projects. I don’t have a lot in terms of disposal income, so I do pick those I back. Plus, there are ways to buy Kickstarter products these days if you miss out on initial backing.

If you like quirky and cutting edge like me, and you have some money to spare right now, then you’ll also enjoy these slightly unusual Kickstarter projects that still need backing. [Read more…] about 5 Unusual Kickstarter Projects You’ll Want to Back Now

The ForeverGeek Kickstarter Store Makes It Easy for Online Shoppers

November 13, 2013 by noemi Leave a Comment

Online shopping is the best thing since sliced bread!

Not only do you get to find everything and anything (which you may or may not need), but you don’t have to get out of your PJs to do some shopping. A couple of clicks are all you need, and you’re good to go!
ForeverGeek Kickstarter Store
If you’re an online shopping enthusiast like me, then you probably already have sniffed out Kickstarter as a source of cool stuff. While it’s technically a crowdfunding site, Kickstarter does offer the online shopper a lot of options. It goes one step further by giving you the opportunity to be “in” at the earliest stages: by being a backer and getting earlybird perks.

One thing about Kickstarter, though, is that you never know if a project is going to get funded. Frustration can kick in if a project that you really want to happen does not reach its goals.

Our sister site, ForeverGeek, has come up with something that can somehow help alleviate that frustration: the ForeverGeek Kickstarter Store. [Read more…] about The ForeverGeek Kickstarter Store Makes It Easy for Online Shoppers

Spike: iPhone Protective Case AND Real Keyboard

iPhone Case Keyboard
Spike

Purchasing a new gadget never stops there, does it? Whether you’re talking about a tablet, a laptop, or a phone, you will probably spend some more money on purchasing accessories.

I don’t know about you, but one of the first things that I buy is a protective case. Actually, more often than not, the purchase of the case is done right after buying the gadget. If you’re going to spend a considerable sum on a gadget, you might as well spend a little more on something that will protect it, right? This is especially true for something as expensive as the iPhone!

Now, how about if we add a little something to the iPhone case? How about a real keyboard, the kind that you can feel? [Read more…] about Spike: iPhone Protective Case AND Real Keyboard

What I Remember About Dinosaurs: A Kickstarter Project

What I Remember About Dinosaurs
What I Remember About Dinosaurs Cover Mockup

What do you remember about dinosaurs?

I am not sure if the strong interest in dinosaurs is a matter of generation, but I clearly remember – when we were kids – that it was cool to be able to rattle off the names of dinosaurs like a Gatling gun in action. Not to mention the ability to follow up with all their characteristics and spot them from a mile away. If dinosaurs ever visited the school, that is.

Whether you were one of those kids or not, I still think teaching kids about these leviathans is a worthwhile venture. Non-existent they may be today, they are still very much part of our history.

Enter “What I Remember About Dinosaurs”, a book project on Kickstarter by Brian Russell. [Read more…] about What I Remember About Dinosaurs: A Kickstarter Project

Pebble: E-Paper Watch Works for iOS and Android

Pebble E-Paper Watch
Pebble E-Paper Watch

Wristwatches have always been a popular accessory, although I have to admit that I have never been too much into them. While I do appreciate a nice looking watch, I have never felt the urge to get one of those bands for the iPod Nano. I have a feeling that it will look ridiculous, in spite of the countless people who have told me how cool it is to wear one. On the other hand, there are also those who have ranted against the downsides of the iPod Nano as a watch.

If you are one of them, you might be interested in the newest thing in wristwatches coupled with mobile devices: Pebble, the e-paper watch that works for both the iPhone and Android devices. [Read more…] about Pebble: E-Paper Watch Works for iOS and Android
