Video Chat in Browser
WebRTC
What is your main means of communication? The chances of video chat being up in the list is rather high, especially if you are based in a location far from your family and friends. With the technological advances that we enjoy today, video chat has become a major mode of communication.

There are many different providers which offer video chat services, many of them free. While that is convenient, there is the issue of having to download and install those programs. What if you can do a video chat on your browser without having to install a plugin or any other program?

This is exactly what the creators of WebRTC had in mind when they conceptualized the web standard. [Read more…] about WebRTC: Video Chats in Browser, No Plugin Required!

Inventors: The People Behind the Way We Live [Infographic]

April 10, 2012 by noemi

We live in good times, even if often, we tend to overlook the “simple” things that give us our comforts. Sure, the economy (wherever you may be) can use some improvement. We will always welcome additional income, of course.

If you look around you, though, you probably will see so many things that you take for granted. Things that are the fruits of the labor of other people who opened up paths in the unknown. It might not be too late, though. Electronics manufacturer, Philips, is promoting the ErgoSensor – a new monitor – on its UK web site. [Read more…] about ErgoSensor Monitor Might Cure Your Bad Posture

zombies
Good Friday may not be the best time to talk/think about zombies (or it could be perfect, depending on your perspective), but this piece of news just can’t wait. With a zombie run coming up in my neck of the woods, zombie talk has just escalated in the recent days. And when I read about what Russia is working on, I knew I had to share it with you guys. I hope you are not that averse to all things zombies!

According to an article published by The Herald Sun ((Source)), Russia has confirmed that they are working on technology that can create zombies. [Read more…] about Russia’s Electromagnetic Radiation Guns to Create Zombies

April 5, 2012 by noemi

Angry Birds
Just when I thought the Angry Birds hype had disappeared, they released Angry Birds Space. Sure, I will admit that it has been downloaded onto the iPad, but I have never played it. It’s been sitting there prettily for more than a week now, but I know how that goes. I’ll start playing. I’ll get upset because I can’t get three stars, but I won’t be able to stop playing till I finish the game. By hook or by crook.

So yes, I am keeping the Angry Birds “disease” at bay. Then I hear about the new thing Rovio’s getting into: Angry Birds cartoons. On TV. [Read more…] about Angry Birds Coming Soon to Your TV Set
