Kindle Fire

I don’t know if you are aware of it, but Amazon has maintained a steady place in the tablet market. In fact, it ranks highly in second place, thanks to its Kindle line of e-readers.

You may say whatever you want about the magic of the iPad (I will not disagree), but if you are in the market for a device that might not be as magical but work just as perfectly for certain things, then the Kindle is no doubt an excellent device. Even more so when Amazon launched the Kindle Fire. [Read more…] about Kindle Fire Going on a Diet to Get Slimmer

No, Facebook Does Not Cause Depression

Facebook and Depression

I don’t know why I am such a sucker for these studies, when I know for a fact that I will be confronted with something that is either a no brainer or something totally vague and/or ludicrous. Still, I find myself reading studies, the results of studies, and potential studies…Whatever floats my boat, right?

For sure, you have seen at least one study claiming that Facebook – or maybe some other social network – is the cause of depression. Or dementia. Or some other negative mental or emotional state. Whether you were nodding your head as you read those articles or you were vigorously shaking it in denial, here is another study that might catch your attention as it did mine: Facebook does not cause depression, apparently. Spike: iPhone Protective Case AND Real Keyboard

iPhone Case Keyboard
Spike

Purchasing a new gadget never stops there, does it? Whether you’re talking about a tablet, a laptop, or a phone, you will probably spend some more money on purchasing accessories.

I don’t know about you, but one of the first things that I buy is a protective case. Actually, more often than not, the purchase of the case is done right after buying the gadget. If you’re going to spend a considerable sum on a gadget, you might as well spend a little more on something that will protect it, right? This is especially true for something as expensive as the iPhone!

Now, how about if we add a little something to the iPhone case? How about a real keyboard, the kind that you can feel? [Read more…] about Spike: iPhone Protective Case AND Real Keyboard

USB Typewriter Computer Keyboard

USB Typewriter Computer Keyboard

There’s something about old school typewriters that make people (of my generation, at least) happy. The clickety clacking sound that the metal makes as it strikes the sheet of paper rolled up against the cylinder…the unmistakable ding when you “hit return”…the tactile experience of actually pounding the keys…all this, and more, make the typewriting experience a totally different one from what young kids know these days.

Of course, it cannot be denied that laptops and tablets are more convenient and provide so much more. However, if you have those nostalgic moments like I more than occasionally do, you will love the idea of having an actual typewriter keyboard to pound away on. German Flintstones Car
Flintstones Car

I am not sure if the children of this generation are still exposed to the antics of the most beloved Stone Age family (of our generation, at least), but I have no doubt that if a child were to be introduced to the Flintstones today, the allure of the cartoons will be just as strong.

How can one not fall in love with those Stone Age characters and all their quirks? How can one NOT want the foot mobile?

And speaking of this iconic mode of transportation, Stone Age it may be, it still has its admirers in modern days.

Enter Sebastian Trager. [Read more…] about German Police: Flintstones Car Not Roadworthy
