Waterproof Your Phone with Liquipel

Waterproof your phone
Liquipel

How many of your phones – or other electronic devices – have succumbed to their naturally occurring enemy called water? I cannot count the horror stories that I have heard about mobile phones, laptops, etc. that have gotten dunked into a body of water, have been at the receiving end of a spilled glass of liquid, and so on. I am pretty sure that you are no stranger to this as well.

As far as I can recall, the worst thing that happened to me was a now ancient Nokia phone falling into a mug of hot chocolate. Amazingly enough, the phone still worked after getting dried out! Not everyone is that lucky, though, and a very expensive phone can easily die on you after getting wet. No brainer. [Read more…] about Waterproof Your Phone with Liquipel

Have you been coveting the smart cover for the iPad 2? If you have the original iPad, I guess that is entirely possible, though there is no lack of covers and cases for that as well. Now if you have the iPhone, and you want something similar to the iPad 2’s smart cover, here is something that might catch your interest.

It’s called the TidyTilt, and it is a Kickstarter project that has 20 days to go. Just like many cool accessories, the idea behind TidyTilt is rather simple. It has a three-fold function. [Read more…] about TidyTilt: The Smart Cover for the iPhone

Windows Phone Marketplace

Just in case there are some of you who have a Windows Phone…I think I am not wrong in assuming that. The Windows Phone Marketplace is what the Android Market is to Android phones and the iTunes App Store is to iOS devices. So the news is that the Windows Phone Marketplace has now reached a milestone, that of 50,000 apps.

If you do not think about any other platform, 50,000 is not a small number. Then again, with the explosion of mobile devices these days, this figure may be a milestone for the Windows Phone Marketplace but it is still lagging behind the two other major platforms. This is the stuff that tech heads have been dreaming of for ages: a screen that bends and is functional. Well, there are many things that tech enthusiasts have been dreaming of, but screens that are flexible is definitely at the top of the list. Can you imagine all the possible applications of such a screen?

In any case, this is now reality. Not just the one of those things that we see in movies that make us go, “WANT”!

Have you ever had the problem of having to balance your mobile phone when you had too many things in your hand? With all the gadgets lug around these days, I suppose that that isn’t such an uncommon situation. I cannot even count the number of times that I’ve had to juggle stuff when my phone rings and I am out in the mall or somewhere else. During those times, don’t you just wish that you had a way to hold your phone easily?

That’s exactly what Trevor Prideaux wanted, and he got it, too. The British guy’s situation is rather different and unique, though. He was born without his left arm and has had to live his life in this condition. He did, however, get a prosthetic arm. As can be expected, he has been having problems holding his mobile phone and using it. His solution? Have a dock built into his prosthetic arm! [Read more…] about Prosthetic Arm Custom Phone Dock

5 Strange Cases to House Your iPhone In

September 20, 2011 by DailyBits

When Apple first announced that they had a smartphone in the works, the world waited with bated breaths for its release. Four (but soon to be five) generations later, the iPhone is still the most popular smartphone out there that has managed to attract a huge and fanatical following. Of course, it’s to be expected that something so popular will probably spawn the production of related gadgets and stuff, like accessories, sleeves, and–our favorite–cases.

You’ve probably already seen the plain old generic silicone and leather cases, but have you seen the ones that are born from wacky minds and free-spirited imaginations that require more than just a second (or third) glance because they’re just that strange or creative or just plain weird?
