Centers of Tech Innovation
Silicon Valleys of the World

What is the biggest dream of every person who works in the technology field? I would go out on a limb and say that to live and work in Silicon Valley is one of the top answers. There is the fact that the opportunities to work there are rather rare for a lot of people. That doesn’t mean you have to give up on your dreams! Did you know that there are Silicon Valleys in other parts of the world?

I suppose there is some truth in the argument that there is nothing quite like THE Silicon Valley, but the world has gotten smaller and smaller over the years, and centers of tech innovation are cropping up all over the planet. This spells good news for you, if you are looking to make a splash in the scene. [Read more…] about The Silicon Valleys of the World [Infographic]

How many gadgets do you take with you when you go out? If you are like many people I know, there has to be at least these things in your arsenal: a laptop, a mobile phone, a tablet, an mp3 player, and a camera. In a nutshell, the nature of this device is to put together most, if not all, the gadgets that you normally need. This is exactly what Indian industrial designer Prashant Chandra has come up with. The Phonestack
The Phonestack
Have you ever had the problem of going out with friends for lunch or dinner, and then everyone just sits there tinkering with their phones? I think that we’ve all been in that situation. You might even be one of those who keeps checking your phone for messages. Or maybe you just like updating your online friends via Facebook, Twitter, or Google Plus. Whatever the case may be, a table full of people who are supposed to be out socializing with each other but instead are sitting there frantically pushing buttons or tapping screens defeats the entire purpose.

If you have been feeling bothered about this trend, which I think is occurring all over the world, here is a nifty solution: the phone stack.

What is the phone stack? It is a simple habit that you can introduce to your friends the next time you agree to meet in person. Here’s how you do it. [Read more…] about The Phone Stack: Solution to Being Anti-Social

Kopimism: Swedish File Sharing Religion

Copy Paste
Symbols of Kopimism

It’s for real, folks. I am not pulling your leg here. The country of Sweden has officially recognized a new religion that has its basis on file sharing! Now I have always thought of the Swedish people as being tolerant, but I never knew that they are this open minded. Imagine, a religion that is all about what many institutions consider illegal!

Just like other religions, the Church of Kopimism has symbols that it holds sacred. Do not laugh, for I am sure its members do not think it is a laughing matter, but their sacred symbols are CTRL+C and CTRL+V. I don’t need to expound on the meanings underlying these symbols, do I?
