iModela 3D Printer

3D printers have come a long way, although they cannot be called mainstream yet. There are more of these printers in the market, though, and more services offering 3D printing. What is common about most 3D printers is that they build the items using some sort of material. Basically, the material of choice is used to build items layer by layer until the design is complete.

There is a newcomer in the 3D printing scene that gives a different perspective of how 3D printing is done. It’s called iModela. [Read more…] about iModela 3D Printer Carves Out a Niche

British Watchdog to TripAdvisor: Not All Reviews Are Genuine

TripAdvisor
TripAdvisor
Have you been bitten by the travel bug? I sure have, and one of the resources that I use often is TripAdvisor. I think that anyone with with a little travel experience knows about TripAdvisor, and even if they do not have an account, they still check the site for destination and accommodation ideas. The site has grown large enough that it can be said that it is one of the go-to sites for people looking for travel information online.

Recently, however, TripAdvisor has gotten some flak from the advertising watchdog of Britain. The agency has publicly reproved the travel web site due to its claim that all of its user-generated reviews are genuine; that is, all of them are written by real travelers. February 1, 2012 by DailyBits

I’ve been trying to find out more about Twitter because I have a new goal to increase my Twitter followers. I’m in the midst of trying to reorient the whole thrust of my personal Twitter account and make it more streamlined in terms of content.

One of the things that I’ve been reading about regarding marketing your Twitter account is that it is easier to get more followers with a spruced up Twitter page. Various marketing experts and successful Twitter users have attested to the pull of a good Twitter background. [Read more…] about Attract More Twitter Followers Through Personalized Backgrounds

Would You Pay GBP1,700 for a Letter from J.R.R. Tolkien?

Grumpy Tolkien Letter
Grumpy Tolkien Letter

I honestly do not know if I would, assuming I had more than enough money to burn. Then again, if you were a hardcore collector of everything that can be related to one of the greatest fantasy authors that has ever walked this earth, then I suppose GBP 1,700 is not that big of a price to pay for something handwritten by Tolkien. If The Walking Dead Were Made in the 80s

80s Walking Dead
What if the zombie TV series “The Walking Dead” were made in the 80s? Would it have turned out to be better, or would it have become even worse?

There is no doubt just how big the TV series made it, but we also cannot deny the fact that it has its fair share of dragging moments. Heck, okay, it has more than its fair share of dragging moments. Even the first season dragged on for a while there. After season 2.5, I guess practically everyone will agree with me. Of course, there are the scenes will which forever make one think that the series is still worth watching. Think of the last episode of season 2.5. That was intense.

But what if “The Walking Dead” were made during another era? Say, the 80s? How would that have turned out? [Read more…] about If The Walking Dead Were Made in the 80s

Lift-Up Table Mechanism for Couch Potatoes

Lift-Up Table Mechanism
Lift-Up Table

I am not too big on furniture, but now and then, I come across a piece of furniture that I just can’t get out of your mind. After all, for all of us who work from a home office (though I don’t really think where I work can be called even that!), making sure that the working place is as comfortable as possible is of prime importance. I don’t think that it is a secret that I prefer working on the couch or on the bed, but sometimes, it really boosts productivity when you work from a desk.
