Lifehacks
Life hacking has established a rather lengthy history, seeing its origination in the early 1980s as the computing world began to come into existence, and finding a home today on blogs and websites all over the globe. A life hack isnít really limited by a topic, but is a term thatís used to denote anything that helps you solve an everyday problem in an easier and more convenient way that might not have been obvious or previously thought of.

In recent years, there has been a spike in the unauthorized use of firearms which has resulted in deaths – both accidental and deliberate. In order to minimize future risks, Yardarm introduced its Safety First technology. This technology allows gun owners to remotely engage or disengage the trigger safety on their firearms from anywhere in the world. In order for this to work, the technology will need to be custom built right inside the firearm.

A sensor and a SIM card, similar to the one used on phones, will be placed inside each handgun and these will enable the gun to communicate with a phone app allowing the gun owner to view information about that firearm from afar.
The technology also alerts the gun owner, either by text (SMS) message or by email, of any movement made by the gun, whether it’s just a minimal change in location or one that involves long distances. The geo-location feature will enable the owner to track the firearm and its movements. Furthermore, this technology gives the owner the ability to engage of disengage the trigger safety remotely. As an added security feature, the app is password protected and in spite of all the advancement, the app cannot be used to fire the gun remotely. May 8, 2013 by DailyBits

online education
The freedom of information online has spearheaded revolutions in retail, marketing, politics, and (perhaps most dramatically) entertainment. The transformation of all these fields has been rapidly paced and disruptive to traditional institutions which had grown comfortable in the way that things were done. May 2, 2013 by DailyBits

Google Glass
Google Glass is speeding ahead towards its release, which is still far away, but it already has unleashed the enthusiasm of many individuals and businesses. Cloud backup for mobile devices is getting to be a more attractive option for many users.  Mobile devices are very convenient and portable because of their size but these same features can also make them more prone to loss, theft, and misplacement.  That is why it makes good sense to backup contents of mobile devices.

Reasons to Backup Mobile Devices

Mobile devices have become the new lifeline of the human society in terms of staying in contact and doing business. Losing its contents permanently is more distressing than losing the device itself.  One can always buy a new phone but not every lost information can be recovered.

The loss of list of contacts and other important information stored in mobile devices can be very disruptive to personal lives and business transactions. Many describe the feeling of being isolated, stressed, and virtually lost because of their dependence on these devices.

Having to go through the inconvenience of losing important data is not necessary, especially if it can be avoided. Different backup products and services are being offered in the market. Users just need to consider the best option for them.

Why Cloud Backup for Mobile Devices

Backing-up files contained in any mobile device should be done and there is no question about that.  The only question that remains is how it is to be done. The traditional way is store data in USB drives which is not always reliable.  Another way is to download software from mobile device makers to allow the backup.  It is highly advised that downloading ,whether for free or for a fee, should be done from the manufacturer’s site.  A third party developer is another option.

Cloud backup for mobile devices comes highly recommended.  These mobile devices are literally extensions of people’s computers.  It is therefore in the best interest of users to backup their contents with the best possible option.

With Cloud Backup, users can access their required data at any time and any device connected to the Internet.  The data are all protected from unauthorized access through encryption. All data that has been transferred from a mobile device to a backup server are guarded for privacy.

Online cloud backup offers data storage that is safe and easily updated. It is however necessary to find a Cloud backup provider that is competent and able to provide expert services. Competitive pricing is also a major consideration. To know more about online backup providers, look into www.bestbackups.com.

Windows Developer? Earn $100 for Your New App From Microsoft!

March 20, 2013 by noemi

Windows is Windows, and whether you love it or you hate it, the platform is not going anywhere. Sure, it will go through changes – lots of them, if Microsoft wants to stay on top of its game – but Windows is here to stay. It does not mean, however, that developers are ultra tempted to create apps for Windows 8 or Windows Phone, especially the latter.

Windows developer

When it comes to mobile apps, iOS is still at the lead but Android is not going to stay quiet about it. As for Windows, they do need more developers to join the fray. And guess what Microsoft is doing to entice Windows developers to create apps?

They’re offering $100 for a single app.
