Education Apps
ClassDojo

More than imparting knowledge to their students, teachers also have to deal with other tasks. Among these tasks, classroom management is high up the list. It’s basically being able to handle the class as a group and as individuals and being able to encourage proper behavior. Call it crowd control in an educational setting.

This is what the app ClassDojo aims to address by providing rewards to students who exhibit good behavior.

Kindle Fire

I don’t know if you are aware of it, but Amazon has maintained a steady place in the tablet market. In fact, it ranks highly in second place, thanks to its Kindle line of e-readers.

You may say whatever you want about the magic of the iPad (I will not disagree), but if you are in the market for a device that might not be as magical but work just as perfectly for certain things, then the Kindle is no doubt an excellent device. Even more so when Amazon launched the Kindle Fire. [Read more…] about Kindle Fire Going on a Diet to Get Slimmer

The Wonder Clock App
The Wonder Clock App

I am not kidding, and if you know a woman who has very strong urges about passing on her genes to the next generation, you would also know that the ticking biological clock is not a joking matter. In fact, I am sure that studies have been made about just how this fixation on the biological clock has gotten a lot of women down.

Not that I am one of them, but just in case you are, or you know someone who is, then here is an iOS app that might just help. Or maybe not, I don’t really know.

In any case, let me introduce you to the Wonder Clock, an app that was specially designed to count down a woman’s biological clock in real time. [Read more…] about Obsessed About Your Biological Clock? There Is an App for That!

Google tablet
Google Nexus 7

Or not. It depends on how you see things, of course, but it looks like Google is not going to leave the tablet market alone.

During the Google I/O conference held in San Francisco yesterday, the tech giant showed proof that it has something to say when it comes to tablet computers. While it may not be taking on the iPad (smart!), it certainly seems to be saying something to Kindle. [Read more…] about Google’s Nexus 7 to Challenge Kindle Fire

Stress @ Work

Are you the type who gets easily affected by the words and messages you received throughout the day? Whether the message is verbal or written, I totally understand how negative language can make you upset.

“Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.”

That old saying may sound good, but we all know that it’s full of crap. Especially if you have been on the receiving end of hurtful words.
