7 New Features of 6 Google Products and Services

Google has been pretty busy this week, despite the recently announced layoffs of around 200 Googlers. For those who are not affected by Google’s labor downsizing, life goes on at Google and its products and services. This week, we’ve discovered 7 new features of six Google major products and services.  All seven of these new features aim to enhance user experience and activity while using those six products and service. So, here 7 new features of 6 Google products and services. Insert Drawing in Google Docs – this new feature lets you insert rich, colorful drawings into your Google Docs documents, presentations, and spreadsheets. If you’ve been using Microsoft Word and Powerpoint presentations for creating flowcharts, diagrams, and other graphical visual aids, this Google Doc’s new feature is somewhat similar.   You can create drawings including lines, free hand scribbles, text labels and various shapes.  But of course, the best part is you can easily share and collaborate on this project with your friends and business contacts. How about that? Collaborative drawing using Google Docs. Isn’t it fun?

Share YouTube Videos on Twitter – YouTube has also joined the Twitter frenzy by adding a “share to Twitter” button which you can find under the Share options in your YouTube videos control page.  This feature will not embed YouTube videos on Twitter Tweets, but rather just embed the URL of the videos that you are sharing.

Google Chrome Tips for Webmaster – If you’re a Google Chrome user and you maintain a website, you might want to check out these tips on making your websites Google Chrome-friendly.

YouTube EDU Hub – A YouTube channel featuring educational videos coming from YouTube academic partners including Standford, UC Berkeley, MIT, UCLA and more.

Orkut Skin Updates –  Well even Google’s underrated social networking site gets some new features. This time helping Orkut users add new skins to their Orkut profile.  The new feature will send you an update whenever your Orkut friends changed their profile skin. Then you can check out the skin and have it installed on your profile as well.

iGoogle Video-Inspired Themes – New themes for use in your iGoogle page. I would have to admit those themes are definitely cool. Choose your theme from video games such as Lara Croft, Super Mario Bros., Megaman, Street Fighter, and more.

Google Mobile Apps – Whether you are using a Blackberry, a Nokia phone or any Windows Mobile phones, you’d be glad to know about two recent announcements from the Official Google Mobile blog. First, Google Mobile Apps for Blackberry now has voice searching capability and My Location features. And second,  a new YouTube App for Windows Mobile phones an Nokia handsets.

Of the last articles in this website, four of them are about Google.
I know that Google is coming up with lot of enhancements and they take their research very seriously. We all love anything Google dishes out.

But the manner in which this website is going gaga about it, to me its looking like an indirect advertisement for Google.

AM I wrong? Is it just me or other regular visitor feel the same way?
