This little girl is THE man! Clara Lazen, who is only 10 years old, has created a new molecule in science class, albeit accidentally. She lives in Kansas City, Missouri and created the new molecule by chance when her science teacher, Kenneth Boehr, handed out your run-of-the-mill balls and sticks.

Boehr gave his students balls representing the atoms of carbon, nitrogen, and oxygen, presumably to “play” with them. The result of Clara’s “playing” was totally unexpected: the new molecule dubbed Tetranitratoxycarbon. [Read more…] about New Molecule Created By 10-Year-Old

Addicted to Twitter

You might as well admit it. You’re addicted to Twitter. Or social media in general.

They say the first step towards curing an addiction is admitting it. Whether you are looking to cure your addiction to Twitter or not, this piece of research might be of interest to you. As studies usually go, there is a lot of data involved, and even more analysis. The bottom line of this recent study is this: Twitter is more difficult to resist than cigarettes or alcohol. TypeWay for iPad

TypeWay iPad App
TypeWay

What do you use your iPad for the most? If you are like me, playing casual games is probably the main use for the iPad. Of course, there is the occasional sending of emails and browsing the Internet when I’m out and don’t feel like taking the laptop with me. Then again, the iPhone can do the same things, so the iPad is rather redundant for me at the moment.

For those of you who are heavy iPad users, however, you probably use the on screen keyboard regularly. I don’t know about you, but I don’t have many issues with that keyboard. If you do, then you might be interested in this iPad app called TypeWay. [Read more…] about TypeWay for iPad

Teach Kids How to Draw with Butt Art for the iPad

February 3, 2012 by noemi Leave a Comment

When I was a kid, I remember envying my peers who had the talent for drawing. As hard as I tried, and as much as I wanted to, I just didn’t – don’t – have it. Even my stick figures were rather sad compared to what others could come up with! It’s just not my thing.

They say, though, that if you start really early and kids are given opportunities to develop and hone their skills, they can do practically anything. If you want to give your kids that chance to learn how to draw, there is an app that might do the trick. [Read more…] about Teach Kids How to Draw with Butt Art for the iPad

British Watchdog to TripAdvisor: Not All Reviews Are Genuine

Have you been bitten by the travel bug? I sure have, and one of the resources that I use often is TripAdvisor. I think that anyone with with a little travel experience knows about TripAdvisor, and even if they do not have an account, they still check the site for destination and accommodation ideas. The site has grown large enough that it can be said that it is one of the go-to sites for people looking for travel information online.

Recently, however, TripAdvisor has gotten some flak from the advertising watchdog of Britain. The agency has publicly reproved the travel web site due to its claim that all of its user-generated reviews are genuine; that is, all of them are written by real travelers. Attract More Twitter Followers Through Personalized Backgrounds

February 1, 2012 by DailyBits Leave a Comment

I’ve been trying to find out more about Twitter because I have a new goal to increase my Twitter followers. I’m in the midst of trying to reorient the whole thrust of my personal Twitter account and make it more streamlined in terms of content.

One of the things that I’ve been reading about regarding marketing your Twitter account is that it is easier to get more followers with a spruced up Twitter page. Various marketing experts and successful Twitter users have attested to the pull of a good Twitter background. [Read more…] about Attract More Twitter Followers Through Personalized Backgrounds
