YouTube, Hulu and other video streaming sites will soon face a tough competitor, and it goes by the name VideoBay. If that sounds awfully familiar to you, yes you guessed it right, it’s from the same people who brought us the ever controversial PirateBay.
When we talk about online video, YouTube always comes into our mind first. But the truth is, there are other video sites out there which may not be offering video uploads but could be a great source of finding video contents scattered all around the Internet. One such service is the seemingly underrated video search portal – Truveo.
The European Union is set to implement some operating guidelines for companies and their social networking sites including Facebook, MySpace and others. The new regulation is aimed at ensuring that companies who operate these social networks comply with privacy laws. More particularly, the EU would like to ensure that these sites do not use and distribute personal information divulged by individuals without consent.
Has blogging became such a profitable business that the FTC is now paying attention as to whether bloggers are getting paid for reviewing products? According to an Associate Press report, the FTC will soon be issuing guidelines stating that the FTC could go after bloggers for failing to disclose that they are being paid for product/service reviews. Now, I’m scared.
